Soggs Design is a full-service healthcare design architectural firm, experienced in all aspects of project delivery. The firm specializes in Hospital and Medical Office Building renovations, upfits, additions, and Imaging Equipment projects. Established by Nelson Soggs AIA, LEED AP, NCARB, the firm is based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. Having recognized that the design and construction process can sometimes be stressful for the client, the firm strives to make it a pleasant and successful experience. Soggs Design understands the challenges facing clients with new construction and renovations. Healthcare organizations must not only adhere to tight budgets, but also keep up with the fast pace of technological advancements to avoid renovating again in just a few years. The firm also understands that healthcare is a business and that buildings need to efficiently function for revenue and the staff, and to be brought to market quickly.
Nelson Soggs is a Principal and Owner of Soggs Design. He has over 30 years of experience in healthcare design. After graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1990, Nelson spent 6 years working in 2 different healthcare design firms in Upstate New York and then relocated to Charlotte in 1996. In Charlotte, he managed over at least 400 healthcare design projects while at Peterson Associates and as an Associate Principal at KSQ Design.
